Belorussiya (1975) / Nr. 1212 / 16631 grt Delivered 1975 to Black Sea Shipping Company. Ferry-service in the Black Sea and Mediterranean as well as cruises for the German, British and American market. 1986 refurbishment into a full-time cruiseship, 1991 registerated under the Ukrainian flag. On 25th October 1992 capsized in Singapoore drydock and seriousely damaged. Town to Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven for complete reconstruction, nothing of her former interiors were left. 1993 renamed Kazakhstan II, chartered to Delphin Seereisen. Ownership-transfer by BLASCO to daughter Lady Lou Shipping Company, new register is Cyprus. Renamed Delphin in 1996 and transferred to Sea Delphin Shipping Company in Malta which is operating today as Dolphin Maritime Ltd.. Still operated as a four-star-ship by Delphin Seereisen.
Gruziya (1975) / Nr. 1213 / 16631 grt Delivered 1975 to Black Sea Shipping Company, ferry-service in the Mediterranean and Black Sea as well as cruises for the German, British and American market. In the mid 80ies refurbishment into a full-time cruiseship, chartered by Touropa and CTC Cruises. 1995 planned to be chartered to Royal Venture Cruise Line as the Royal Venture but project was abandoned when operator ceased operations. Employed for cruises to Canada and East-American coast. Chartered to OdessAmerican Cruise Company and renamed Odessa Sky. 1996 chartered to Columbus Seereisen, refurbishments and operation for German passengers planned but ship was arrested in Wilhelmshaven after the death of the Ukrainian owner. In March 1999 the ship was acquired by Eltek Europe Shipping, completely refurbished at Turbo Technik Werft in Germany. Operated by Club Cruises as the Club I for Dutch passengers, new register is St. Vincent. Chartered to Nouvelles Frontières as from December 1999 for the French markrt, renamed Van Gogh. As from April 2002 chartered to Travelscope and sailing for British passengers.
Azerbaydzhan (1975) / Nr. 1221 / 16631 grt Delivered 1975 to Black Sea Shipping Company, ferry-service and cruises. Refurbished in 1984 into a full-time cruise-ship at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven. As from 1991 placed under the Ukrainian flag. In 1996 transferred to BLASCO UK Ltd. and renamed Arkadiya. Plans to operate her as the Star Venture by Royal Venture Cruise Line were not realized. 1997 renamed Island Holiday and chartered to New SeaEscape Cruises for casino-cruises. Ownership transferred to BLASCO-daughter Norsong Shipping Company. As from March 1998 chartered by Commodore Cruises and renamed Enchanted Capri, cruises for American passengers. After the bankrupty of Commodore Cruises, the ship has been laid up in New Orleans and is available for immediate charter. BLASCO has instructed International Shipping Partners for maintenance during lay-up.
Kazakhstan (1976) / Nr. 1222 / 16631 grt Delivered 1976 to Black Sea Shipping Company, ferry-service and cruises in various areas. 1984 refurbished into a full-time cruise-ship at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven and chartered to Delphin Seereisen. Transferred to Ukrainian register in 1991. In 1993 Delphin Seereisen chartered Belorussiya and Kazakhstan was operated by BLASCO UK Ltd., renamed Ukraina in 1994. Planned to be operated by Royal Venture Cruise Line as the Sea Venture but the operator came up as Royal Seas Cruise Line and operated the ship shortly as the Royal Seas. In 1997 renamed Ukraina again and operated by Primexpress Tours and New SeaEscape Cruises in a partner-agreement. Transferred to BLASCO-daughter Marvest Shipholding. As from February 1998 the ship was renamed Island Adventure and fully operated by New SeaEscape Cruises as a casino-ship. A leasing-purchase agreement between BLASCO and SeaEscape was signed in October 2002 which enables the operator to upgrade the ship's facilities.
Kareliya (1976) / Nr. 1223 / 16631 grt Delivered 1976 to Black Sea Shipping Company, ferry-service and cruises in various areas. 1981 refurbished in Newcastle after an incident at sea and reconstruction into a full-time cruiseship. The addition of new superstructure in the front made the external layout of this ship looking different from its sisterships. Renamed into Leonid Brezhnev in 1982 and chartered to Jahn Reisen for German passengers. As from 1989 renamed Kareliya again, operating for CTC Cruises. Transferred to BLASCO-daughter Maddock Trading in 1995 and Ukrainian register. Arrested in July 1996 in Sydney. Operation as Odessa Star (like with Gruziya) was planned but never realized. Until April 1998 arrested in Haifa. Transferred to Kaalbye & Olvia Shipping Company (K&O) and renamed Olvia. Operating around the world for operators such as Peace Boat from Tokyo.
All ships of this series were built at Wärtsilä Yards, Turku / Finland.
