Carnival Cruise Line

MS Carnival Destiny

History
This is a ship that doesn't have a history. This is a ship that has made history. Indeed, coming in as the world's first passenger cruise ship to register more than 100,000 gross tons would be ample enough a feat to keep her in the record books forever....but, like her size, there is so much more about this amazing ship that ought to keep her in the news for decades to come. While it is true that any student of architecture could easily trace her origins back to her fleetmate TROPICALE, a ship less than a third the size of the trendy behemoth CARNIVAL DESTINY, similarities among all classes of Carnival's Fun Ships abound. But lets talk about the DESTINY, because as amazing a ship as she is, we haven't seen enough written about her. She deserves a greater share of attention than she has already garnered...and with her slightly larger sister CARNIVAL TRIUMPH in service with her, and with two more sisters soon to come, we surely hope that the CARNIVAL DESTINY will be remembered for more than just being their eldest sister, the first ship in this class.
