Overview: she enters serivce in May of 2000 and will begin 7 night itineraries out of Portland, Oregon. Along the way she will visit the Willamette River Valley; Cannon Beach; the Columbia River Gorge; locks around the Columbia and Snake river dams; Mt. Hood; Washington's wine country; Maryhill Museum; Walla Walla, Wash.; and the Whitman Mission.
The Columbia Queen accommodates 161 passengers. All rooms include satellite TV, VCR, radio, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, boat-to-shore telephone with data port, and twin beds that convert to a king size bed. Outside rooms have French balconies, or double windows and semi-private verandas, or open to the deck for enjoying the Pacific Northwest scenery. She has a number of lounges and bars and a restaurant that doubles as the show room/theatre later the same evening. The food and level of service on board are good.
