Review by Christopher E. Smith, TravelPage.com, Associate Cruise Editor
Sophisticated charm best describes the lovely PRINCESSE DE PROVENCE, whose decor reflects an old world attention to detail. Although her cabins are all identical in size, the higher grades on A Deck have a feature we love......french doors that open to the railing, and allow plenty of fresh air to circulate in the cabin. The other grade of accommodation are identical in fixtures and square footage, but have a large window instead of doors. With all the requisite fitting necessary for cabin comfort, each room is designed as a well fitted living room by day, and a cozy bedroom by night. As in typical European hotels, the beds have feather soft duvets for dreamy relaxation.
Aside from the excellent food and superlative service, you'll discover the quality of the furnishings, the wood paneling, and rich upholstery in the lounge, dining room and two bars will soothe and treat the eyes. PRINCESSE DE PROVENCE looks like an elegant floating club. On her 7 day round trip journeys from Lyon, you'll have time to visit some famous and not so famous towns and cities.....Tournus, Chalon-sur-Saone, Macon, Trevoux, Tournon, Arles, Avignon and Vienne......in short, this is an ideal and hassle free way to tour much of the southeast part of France.
