SSC Radisson Diamond Rating: Submit your review here Operator: Radisson Seven Seas Cruise Year Built / Last Refurbished: 1992 Length / Tonnage: 420 / 19,400 Number of Cabins / Passengers: 177 / 354 Officers / Crew: Finnish / European Operating Area: Worldwide Overview: probably the strangest looking of all cruise ships, she has a catamaran hull. The technical term for the hull design is SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) which is designed to limit the amount of hull exposed to the waves. This limited exposure combined with computer-controlled fins does a great job of reducing the effects of the sea. Radisson claims that the vessel rolls only one-fifth the amount of a monohull cruise vessel. And in fact, it does seem to work - she rides well in all types of weather and is really a classy ship overall. She is very spacious and the level of service and quality of food is very good.
