Overview
Seven Seas Mariner entered service in March of 2001 and her owners claim she is the first all-suite, all-balconied ship. She offers passengers single, open-seating dining in four distinctive restaurants

She is designed for the demanding traveler and while she is very upscale, the atmosphere on board is more relaxed than you will find on other deluxe cruise ships The quality of the service and food on board are excellent. Cabins are very large and the majority have verandahs.

Public Areas
On board the Mariner, the Constellation Theater serves as the primary entertainment venue offering a wide range of music from Broadway, Big Band and contemporary hits, to the nostalgia of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Richard Rogers to today's electric, eclectic music makers.

The Casino offers a wide choice of games of chance, ranging from slots and video poker to roulette, craps and blackjack. If you are looking for something a bit more sedate check out the Stars Nightclub, where a band plays favorite dance tunes.

The Connoisseur Club is a great spot to begin - or end your evening. In an atmosphere reminiscent of a venerable London Club, expansive leather armchairs invite you to relax, savor a martini or brandy and the quiet enjoyment that good company among friends brings. Cigar aficionados can check the climate-controlled humidors to purchase their special smoke.

During the day, you might want to check out the Judith Jackson Spa. Here you'll find relief from everyday aches and pains, while beauty technicians smooth away cares and unwanted wrinkles. The spa offers thalassotherapy, aromatherapy, massage, steam room and sauna facilities as well as a full range of beauty and grooming services.

The adjoining Fitness Center features all the latest gym equipment with treadmills, rowers, cycles, free weights and weight machines. There's also a separate aerobics room, and the spectacular views through the floor-to-ceiling windows are as invigorating as any workout.

A jogging track and sports deck with golf cages and paddle tennis provide outdoor exercise options. The swimming pool area, surrounded by three whirlpools and broad teak decks, is the perfect place to cool off after your workout, socialize with friends or simply relax in a deck chair and catch up on your reading.

A card room, a conference room, and a well-stocked library with an excellent selection of best-selling books and videos, magazines, art books, field guides and reference works are available for guests 24 hours a day. And every afternoon, be sure to drop by the Observation Lounge, high above the ship, where you can take High Tea with scrumptious fresh-baked scones and clotted cream, or just take in the eye-filling wrap-around views.

Dining
The Mariner offers guests the choice of four restaurants. The Compass Rose is the Mariner's largest and most elegant restaurant. Here guests dine on offerings ranging from the latest fusion creations and exotic taste combinations to traditional favorites such as prime rib or lobster, selections for the health conscious and more simply prepared fare for times when overworked taste buds need a respite.

Latitudes is the smallest restaurant on board and reservations are required. If features a cosmopolitan cuisine in an intimate setting. Here you'll find tableside preparation of showcase selections from all over the world, plus caviar tastings and other unique culinary events.

La Veranda's Mediterranean fare may remind you of a tempting little bistro in Provence or an inviting family-run trattoria in Parma. The atmosphere is casually elegant. During the day, La Veranda also serves buffet breakfasts and luncheon.

Signatures is the only restaurant at sea to be created and operated by chefs wearing the white toque and blue riband of the Cordon Bleu of Paris, the most prestigious culinary authority in the world. The ambience is classically and elegantly French.

Who Goes
With per day prices running six, seven, eight hundred dollars or more...per person....Radisson can not attract those on a strict budget. But money does not make the man...or woman...so you will see passengers with all manners of breeding.

Itinerary
Mariner began the year with a 108-day World Cruise from Los Angeles to Ft. Lauderdale. During the summer she will head to Alaska for a series of 7-day cruises alternating between Seward, Alaska and Vancouver. In the fall she heads South for back to back 56 and 59-day cruises around South America.
