M/V Sea Lion Rating: N/A Submit your review here Operator: Lindblad Expeditions Year Built / Last Refurbished: 1982 / 1995 Length / Tonnage: 152 / 100 Number of Cabins / Passengers: 37 / 70 Officers / Crew: American / American Operating Area: Worldwide Overview: This little vessel provides you with a different look at some of the more traditional destinations such as Alaska - and an opportunity to visit places the larger ships cannot visit. She is designed for expedition travel which means you will often be going ashore via one of the Zodiac motor boats she carries on board. While she has a general itinerary, don't be surprised if you get an extra stop or two depending on what you see ashore.
Accommodations on board are comfortable although the cabins are smaller than most cruise ships. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style while dinner is served to your table. There is a lounge on board but if you're expecting "Sea Legs at the Copa" this isn't the ship for your. By design "entertainment" is limited to lectures by the resident naturalists. Like her sister, she operates under an "open bridge" policy which means that at the Captain's discretion, you're welcome to visit the Bridge and learn about the ship's operation and navigation
