Overview: she is the second largest ship in the fleet and carries 80 passengers in a comfortable environment. She originally entered service in 1966 as a ferry but was extensively refurbished in 1981 when she first joined the Lindblad fleet. She is small enough to go where large ships couldn't possibly venture, yet large enough to operate in remote environments in complete comfort.
Onboard her public areas are suprisingly spacious. The sunny, comfortable Observation Lounge has a bar, piano, and facilities for films, slide shows and lectures. Most evenings, passengers come here for a Lindblad Expeditions tradition called "recap," where the naturalists and other staff members discuss the day's events, with an exchange of questions and answers. The Library has an extensive collection of books on the ports of call, and is also a quiet spot for a game of chess or a chat.
There is a covered Deck with chairs and tables, a perfect place to relax and watch the passing scenery. On the Sky Deck, there is a Lookout Point, where passengers can get a bird's-eye view in all directions. On the Boat Deck is the Bridge, where an "open bridge" policy means you are welcome to visit and learn about navigation. The Radio Room contains satellite communication equipment, including telex and fax.
There is also a Shop with souvenirs and gift items, and a small Gym with sauna. There is a Hospital and doctor on board. All public areas and cabins are air-conditioned.
