She entered service in 1984. She features all outside cabins and has 2 Restaurants, 2 bars, library, sun deck, souvenir shop, sauna and massage, hairdresser, laundry service, and a medical center. Like some of the other ships in the fleet she has a spacious dining room offering panoramic views of the passing scenery. She attracts mostly English speaking passengers although the on board ambience is distinctively European. Europeans fill the chef, sous chef, maitre de hotel and all other key staff positions. The cuisine is Continental and is served in a single sitting. The quality the food and service onboard is good. The vessels are equipped with modern telecommunications and modern buses are used for shore excursions.
All 110 cabins are spacious and very comfortable with a large sliding glass window. There are 80 standard cabins, 20 deluxe cabins, 2 suites, and 8 single cabins. They have twin beds, separate shower and toilet, radio and individually adjustable air conditioning. During the day, they can be converted into a living area.
