Itinerary: Transatlantic
In 1964 while serving as a sergeant in the US Army I returned to New York on what I, to this day, consider the most wonderful escape of my life aboard this wonderful lady. We (my wife and 2 children) dressed and dined with the most wonderful people. It was like a vacation to Oz. Jerry Vaughan, US Army Retired, Tacoma Wa. I'll miss her.
This lady had it all, Even Horse Racing.
Sterling, linen, china and lobster and morning teas- not to forget the 11 pm buffet.
Bundle bet, 2 singles, 2connecting rooms w/bath, outside cabin in cabin class. As nice as some of the first class cabins.
Live shows, video (film at that tine) horse racing, dancing, movies, and nursery for the kids.
Boarded at Genoa Italy, stopped in Cannes France, then at Gibraltar, and on to NY.
A few military like myself, but mostly 90% civilian, everyone we met was wonderful.
