Itinerary: Hawaii
What a wonderful surprise! Great food, friendly staff, good service and just an outstanding itinerary. Best of all, sailing on this wonderful old classic vessel is a real treat. No, she's not glitzy and new...but anyone who is lucky enough to sail on her is in for a great trip! Highly recommended.
Back decks on Indy were expansive and open. View from the rear wings on Boat deck were incredible. Kama'aina lounge was first rate. Constitution lounge elegant and intimate.
Very very good food. Not gourmet, but very enjoyable. Great service too!
Cabin 3 on Sun deck is like no other. We loved it. You won't find a room like this on Carnival or Princess. Great american plumbing as well, not noisy suction like the new ships.
Cruise staff casual and friendly. Singers were enjoyable. Hawaiian storyteller was a nice touch. Magician was horrible, but you can't win em all! Overall, very good.
Plenty of activities for those who want to join in. Itinerary was great, but how can you go wrong in Hawaii? Cruising into Pearl Harbor for Memorial Day was a highlight, as was cruising past the active Volcanoes the night after departing Hilo. A-OK.
Passengers were (overall) younger than ON most cruise ships.....quite a few families and children. Seemed a generally friendly and happy shipful.
