Excellent value for money. Have been on the QE2 3 times and the
service was no better than this. You get what you pay for. Yes the cabin was
cramped for 4 people for 2 weeks, but it was expected. Would recommend the
Carousel to anyone on a budget.
The two rooms were fine, although smoking was not allowed in
the main cabaret lounge and the waiter service from very friendly attendees
was excellent. The Casino were good, although it did not have a Craps table.
Food and drink was excellent for the price and whilst the on
deck buffet was very good, we thought that the restaurant was better.
2 adults and 2 teenagers shared the same cabin for 14 days. It was
cramped but we expected it. Full marks to our uncomplaining Steward who had
to make sense of the cabin each morning. Regards the shower, I am 6ft1" and did not have a problem.
Excellent, the comedians in particular, although the humour
might have been lost on non Brits.
We stopped at 12 ports in 14 days which is too many for me. It
was hard work doing all the on board entertainment at night and getting out
for the ports during the day. The pool was as usual on a cruise ship, more of a splash pool than a
swimming pool.
