Overview
I have only been on one cruise, and I must say that it was the best holiday i've ever been on. It is definitely worth it and I fully enjoyed it. In fact i'm going on another cruise in two weeks on the Seawing, which is sister ship to the Carousel. The food is marvelous, the facilities are excellent, and the ports we stopped at were really beautiful. It was a holiday of relaxation, and just being able to do exactly what you want to do. They have parties, midnight buffets, and lounges where you can just relax and have a drink. There was always something to do and people entertaining you.

Public Areas
The public areas, one of them being the swimming pool were very comfortable. It was a place where you could just relax, and there was even a waiter that came round and asked you if you wanted a drink. Sunbathing up deck allowed me to cool down in the pool whenever I wanted. The one room I liked the most on the ship was the Midsummer Nights Lounge. There were parties very night, and for the older generation they had an entertainer singing with the piano.

Food and Service
The food and service was absolutely excellent, especially in the Camelot Restaurant. Here, the waiters sang to us every night and it was absolutely marvelous. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Also, outside on the sun deck, and by the pool bar, there was a buffet here too. The waiters here were at our service, and they were also very friendly and amiable.

Cabins
The cabin I had was very comfortable, the beds were comfortable, and I also had a dressing table with a mirror. I had plenty of draw space and a wardrobe which was also very spacious. The bathroom was very adequate, with a shower which was a full size stand up shower, and a sink with a mirror. The superior outside cabins, which was the cabin I had were very comfortable, and I fully recommend it. When I was in my cabin I couldn't hear a sound, it was very peaceful and i could look out the window and see the moon glistening on the sea as the ship moves.

Entertainment
I attended some of the shows while on board, but the ones I did attend I thought were very good. On the last night they had a show for all those people who were leaving, and all the waiters who served us at dinner and at the pool bar all took part and it really was something spectacular. There were entertainers in the day that put on shows for people, for which you could take part in.

Activities
When the ship docks in at a port, there is always something for everyone to do. You can either get off and look around, or even go shopping. Or you can stay on the boat and sunbathe and relax. It is totally your choice. The ports I stopped at were, Livorno(Italy), Civitavetia(Italy), Genoa(Italy), The French Riviera(France), Malaga(Spain). We also went through The Straights Of Gibralta which was a spectacular sight as I saw dolphins, whales and the rock of Gibralta. I'd say the swimming pool was just the right size for the Carousel and not too small. Although the only problem I found was that a lot of people were in the pool at one time which made it a little over crowded.

Who Goes
The first week we were there, we met some Scottish people, and they were very nice but they left after the first week that me and my family were there. Although I did meet some people of my own age and made quite a lot of friends, and they were from all over the world. (Canada, Scotland, Wales, Australia). The two weeks I was on the Carousel, there were 27 different nationalities! You should definitely consider this holiday and I fully recommend it.
