Itinerary: Mediterranean
This was our first cruise and after reading reviews we ended up being very pleased anyway. I was with my mother and 2 sons aged 8 and 11. We enjoyed it so much we booked again for this year. Very good value for the money.
My boys spent a lot of time around the pool (and the gift shop) While it might not be as big and luxurious as some of the larger cruise lines it was fine for us as we spent a lot of time on shore.
The food and service were great. The staff were efficient and friendly. We used both the buffet on deck and the dinning room depending on our mood.
The cabins were a fine size for the four of us as we did not spend much time in them anyway. They were always kept clean and tidy by a friendly staff.
While I would often spend a quite evening with my boys, my mother was thoroughly enjoying all the entertainment the ship had to offer.
We spent a lot of time doing shore excursions and had a wonderful time. My mother has a walker and the staff were very good about helping her around. We visited Barcelona, The Vatican, Florence,Pisa and Villefrance. Next time we are doing the other ports of call around the Mediterranean. The Kids Club was a great way to keep the boys busy. It was a holiday in Britain so the had other kids to hang out with.
The fellow cruisers were very friendly and a wide variety of age groups were on board. Lots of Canadians and lots of British.
