Date of Trip: June 9, 2001
Itinerary: Mediterranean
This was our first cruise, it was to celebrate my 61st. birthday
and our 40th. wedding anniversary.
The accommodation was excellent, the staff was first class, the food was out
of this world and the excursions were very interesting.
I would encourage my friends to try a cruise.
The public areas were very comfortable, we preferred the
Showboat Lounge, the Promenade deck was very pleasant for a stroll with
plenty of loungers to sit on.
The Pool area was perfect, with the buffet and tea & coffee machines close
at hand.
The Casino was very inviting and habit forming.
The food was out of this world with a great variety, the service was second to none. The buffet on deck and the dinning room were a compliment to each other.
Our cabin was on the Main Deck, it was quite spacious with plenty of storage space. The shower was perfect and there was no noise.
We attended all the shows and the content and professionalism was first class.
We relaxed most of the time. Our Ports of call were, Embarkation from Palma, calling at Bizerte, Civitavecchia, Livorno, Villefranche, Barcelona and back to Palma.
There was a Pool and a Work-out room.
Being Scots, we had two other Scots Couples,a couple from Cumbria and two
elderly ladies from Clacton-on-Sea.
We would invite any of them to dinner.
