This was a wonderful holiday, made so by the superb staff and excellent food.
The public areas were clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space providing the sun was not shining! The lounges got very crowded during the shows and the casino got very smoky.
The food was excellent with plenty of choice, if you could not find anything you fancied on the menu the restaurant staff did their best to accommodate you. The waiters were absolutely brilliant, never without a smile and very obliging without being condescending.
The cabin was always kept spotless even though our two children tried their hardest to mess it up! The cabin was small, as expected, but adequate. The shower was small, but I am a big woman and I managed alright! There was some engine noise on main deck but apparently it was not as bad as the "human" noise people on the promenade deck suffered.
The shows were superb, worthy of any west end stage. Not only were the entertainment staff very talented but having heard some of the waiters and "below decks" staff sing the captain should be very proud.
We went ashore at all ports, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Morocco, Madeira, La Palma and Gran Canaria. Madeira was our favourite, what a beautiful island, we went on the cable car and can thoroughly recommend it.
Our fellow passengers were mostly British and Scandinavian.I am afraid to report that a large proportion of the people were some of the rudest and most ignorant people we have ever come across.
