FANTASTIC value for money you cant go wrong. Great for first timers , but if you have cruised before be sure not to try to compare , remember you pay more for all those little extras, and at the end of the day i found the atmosphere on board much more relaxing than on some of the more expensive liners.
If anyone tells you the ships overcrowded do not believe them. if you want to sunbathe in peace you can always find a quieter area of the deck, although the area around the pool and buffet does get busy especially when in port.
Most of the lounges on the ship have smoking and non smoking areas so suits everyone.
Great selection of food. the lido buffet can be a little repetitive but the restaurant offers a wider selection. And if you really want to go for it why not visit both. Service is spot on. again do not try to compare with other liners you are still getting more than you pay for.
Cabin was a better size than i was expecting although still small had plenty of room for two. read an earlier review who said that you get very familiar with the shower curtain and i can only agree with that plus the water temperature could be a bit erratic.
We did not visit any of the main shows so cant really comment. If you are a show fan try to request first sitting and get a seat early. if you're on board and "chip" is hosting any of the fun evenings make this a must the lad has got the ability to make you laugh.
We even managed to find a lounge showing the world cup but if you weren't interested it did not get in your way.
We had a fantastic itinerary. we did not bother getting off in tunisia but everywhere else we were spoilt for choice. to be honest we did our own thing recommend the train to rome and the bus at all other places you would not believe he savings.(its a good walk from the bus station to the leaning tower so grab a taxi to make the most of your time) a word of warning once you have your transport ticket ensure it is validated in the yellow machines before you travel we had to plead dumb british tourists to the inspectors to ensure we did not receive a fine.
Whoever you are, where ever you're from and whatever age you are you'll enjoy this cruise. there was a full range of passengers on board and the fact that this is not a huge ship means that you get to know people and form some good friendships. Although if you are into formal then even though there are a couple of dress up nights this is in the main a relaxed ship and maybe both for you.
