Itinerary: Mediterranean
Have just returned from a weeks say on the Carousel. Everyone should have the chance to have 1 week on this ship! All the crew treated us like we were very special and made our holiday just perfect.
Even on this ship, which is not the largest of cruise ships, you could find a quiet place to sit if you wanted too. There is a walk-around promenade deck - the pool was just big enough for a paddle but not for serious swimming. If you got to it early enough you could have a little swim. Did not go into the casino. Plenty of space in the show lounges.
Service and food 1st class. Never could face the evening buffet - was too full after the other meals we enjoyed on board. There was a buffet deck on the Lido deck and everything looked good there too. Service was excellent throughout our stay.
Masses of cupboard space. A very tall person might have difficulties. We were on Main deck and it was very central for everything and a bit of noise from the enormous engines.
Th cruise staff and the entertainers were first class.
We were on Purser square. Central for all enquiries. Did two tours and made our own way other times. Did Florence/Pisa and Independent Rome. Did not visit the health club - did visit the fitness room which is well stocked up with machines etc. Did not use child care.
2 to 82 I would say. Were from too far away to visit but did enjoy their company while on board.
