Overview
This was the best value for money holiday that we have ever had. The places we visited were great and the ship was very comfortable and spotless. We couldn't fault anything. The crew were very helpful and friendly and do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your holiday. We will definitely go again!

Public Areas
We spent our evenings either at the Bridge Bar on deck or in the Carousel Lounge which was very comfortable and you could always find a seat. The pool was quite small and the area around it could get quite crowded but again, never a problem to find a seat or lounger. We didn't use the casino ourselves, but it seemed quite popular! The promenade deck was lovely for an early morning or evening stroll around the ship.

Food and Service
The food was very good and almost constant! We only ate in the main restaurant on three occasions, preferring the buffet on deck. The restaurant waiters were excellent and made you feel special. Afternoon tea and the snacks they brought round in the evenings were my personal favourite. The midnight buffets are worth seeing!

Cabins
We had an outside cabin on A deck with a double bed and fold-down bunk. It was small, but adequate. There was enough space for our clothes for a week and plenty of drawer space. The shower was small but we managed! We were at the front of the ship and found it very quiet. We spent very little time in the cabin - we were only there to shower, change and sleep!

Entertainment
We didn't go to any of the shows in the Showboat Lounge, preferring the lighthearted entertainment in the Carousel Lounge or sitting outside on deck. What entertainment we did see was good and the ship's crew work very hard and offer a varied schedule of entertainment.

Activities
We visited Malta, Sicily, Naples, Genoa and Mahon. We went ashore at all the ports of call. They were all busy, interesting places and well worth seeing. We were especially impressed with Genoa and sailing out of Mahon in the late evening was something else. Didn't see much of Naples because we went on the trip to Pompeii. It was only a half day trip and rather rushed (no time to buy souvenirs) but well worth it. Sailing past Mt. Stromboli (an active volcano) in the dark is an experience I will always remember. We didn't personally take part in any of the on board activities, but there was always something going on to take part in or to watch.

Who Goes
Our table companions in the Camelot Restaurant weren't very chatty but we met some lovely people on the ship and enjoyed their company very much. There was one couple in particular who we are keeping in touch with. On the whole, everyone was enjoying themselves and were very friendly.
