Overview
Excellent value for money in a relaxing cheerful environment. This cruise was my favourite out of the 13 I have done previously, mainly down to the attitude of the crew and the staff. All procedures were so well organised i.e. immigration, disembarking, I never had to stand in a queue as on other cruise lines.

Public Areas
The public areas were air conditioned which was a blessing in the heat. The pool was small and tended only to be used by children. (I found it hard to find the time to swim)! I preferred to pass the evenings out on the deck sampling the cocktails rather than sit in the lounges.

Food and Service
Both the food and the service was excellent, if I had any criticism it would be that the portions were too large...... The waiters smiled constantly and nothing was too much trouble. The chocolate buffet on the second night was to die for.

Cabins
The cabins were smaller than on some of the larger cruise ships but as we only changed and slept in them it didn't make any difference. The air conditioning in the cabin was superb and the bathroom was what I expect on a cruise ship, small but functional. Our cabin was very quiet as it was away from the busy areas of the ship.

Entertainment
I never normally watch the entertainment on ships but this one was different. The Cruise Director was superb with a wonderful sense of humour and the comedian Dave Evans had most of the ship in hysterics. The talent show was very good on the last night and was amusing to say the least even when it was not intended to be.

Activities
The only trip we booked was in Istanbul and we opted for the Bosphorous cruise which was good value for money and then on to the Grand Bazaar which was an eye-opener. I was offered 2 camels for my daughter, looking back if the guy had upped his offer to 3, he may have had a deal! Most times the ship docked within walking distance of the towns.

Who Goes
All age groups but we found the majority were 40s with teenagers in tow. I didn't see many small children -perhaps I didn't look hard enough? I met many interesting people who I definitely would invite to dinner.
