Overview
This was my third cruise (once before on the same sip and once on her fleet mate Carousel), and was probably the best. It honestly is such a friendly little ship, all the people on board are so nice and approachable, and it is very relaxed right through.

She is 29 years old, but she is a wonderful little ship and I would go back in a minute!

Public Areas
The public areas are all very comfortable. The pool is small, and during the summer holidays, there can be a lot of kids in it, but at most times of day its great for a splash to cool of which is really essential in that heat! The restaurant is pleasant, and the main show lounge, the Clipper Lounge on Mayflower Deck, is big and a good view can be found from most seats - word of advice: after last sitting dinner, which a great percentage of passengers go to, some people have to stand, but this isn't a problem at early sitting. The Piano Bar and (small but never crowded)casino are aft on Mayflower Deck, and this is probably my favourite part of the ship. Very comfortable and never crowded. Crows Nest on the top deck, and serves as a nightclub/disco/after-cabaret fun lounge, and is always good fun. And finally, the Bar on Beach Deck is nice, but can get crowded at the breakfast and lunch buffets. I do have ot say that while everywhere is comfortable, some areas are beginning to show their age, eg. some fabrics are a bit grubby, but nothing more serious. However, the ship is going for a refit in December, so this won't be a problem.

Food and Service
First Class. The best food ever. Lunch buffets are fabulous, with typical chips, burgers and hot dogs etc. as well as pasta, Mexican, Oriental etc. I didn't use dining room for breakfast or lunch this time, and I think most people just stuck to the buffets. Afternoon tea and elevens great too. Food in the Restaurant is superb, quite unsurprisingly(!) and service is second to none.

Cabins
Small. But adequate. We always book a Superior Inside, and we did want an outside but because we booked late, there was only 4 insides left. Aft on Biscayne Deck. Unfortunately there was some noise, but didn't affect me. My upper bunk was very comfy, as was the double. Bathroom was fine, and the shower was big enough. Maybe a little short on storage space, but it is perfectly adequate. Steward great too. Again I have to say that the insides are quite small, and a lot quieter in the forward part of the ship. But the Outsides are much nicer and more spacious (I checked them on disembarkation day when they were all open - like everyone else who goes on a cruise!). Try and get a Superior Outside forward or Midships on Atlantic deck - big picture windows for the same price as portholes except for first 15 or so cabins on this deck.

Entertainment
Again, second to none. Entertainers all first class, and the comedians and magician were very funny, but catering largely to British tastes. All Cruise Staff excellent, and very very droll.

Activities
Great itinerary. Cyprus - Crete - Athens - Santorini - Kos Marmaris - Cyprus. I liked this as my other itineraries were very intensive, with lots more to see in each port so there was less time to relax on board. This however was great. Part form Athens, most people went ashore, had a look around, saw the sites and returned to the ship or went to the beach for the rest of the day. Fabulous. Turkish Bath in Marmaris is a must!

Who Goes
Everyone, crew and passengers, on this ship is so nice. Made many good friends from our dinner table, and some of the crew too. No pretentious airs and graces. Just people out for a good holiday (with a few obnoxious exceptions, but very few who think they are on a £25000 per-night liner).
