Cruise was wonderful,it allows you to visit many ports which can be explored for future vacation spots. If you like to experience different people, different activities, and different beaches a cruise will allow you to experience all the above.
We spent a lot of time in the Can Can lounge for the shows. Spent a lot of time at pool level tanning and participating in some of the activities provided. We had an experience at the casino one evening, (1:30 am to be exact) There may have been 10 people playing the slot machines, we were notified that the casino was shutting down in 10 minutes (due to lack of high rollers I guess). We the 6 adults in our party didn't think this was appropriate, as other nights the casino was open well past 2 am
Food and service were excellent. The waiters would cater to children with fussy tastes. Can't say enough about the service. The various theme mid night buffets were a nice touch.
Standard cabins appear small, but we had 2 adults, a 13 and 16 year old and managed quite well. There was ample closet space for our clothes and luggage. Showers can accommodate a full size person, but a longer shower curtain would have made life in the bathroom a bit more comfortable.
Cruise staff very courteous and friendly. We attended many of the shows on board and found them to be good quality, family entertainment, we found the comedian Andy Rudge to be a hoot, we're still repeating his jokes back home.
Our kids swam, played basketball, shuffle board and used the gym while on board. We the adults lay around the pool on days at sea. One thing I would definitely change was the boring music played at pool level. I would not even call it elevator music. We had asked the entertainment staff to liven up the music and put it a bit louder. We were told people would complain. I told them that I am now complaining, and if someone were to complain then they could change it back, they did not make any effort to change it. We noted that when they were selling their drink specials which was 2-3 times a day the music was blasting and they were playing the latest rock hits. Only Donna appeased us one afternoon and played some latin songs I had to dance with her which I enjoyed, this got the other passengers involved. Please note on Caribbean theme night at pool side the music was loud and lively, and you had a lot of people dancing and clapping, this type of activity should be carried out all day.
WE met a lot of very nice people, some from our respective community and yes I would invite them over for dinner and to view the videos.
