Itinerary: Mediterranean
The Sunbird is a FANTASTIC ship. I am 15 and I have done two
cruises before, a Thomson one on the island breeze and another airtours one
on the Seawing but neither could prepare me for the excellent time I had on
board the Sunbird.
There was plenty to do for my age group including a basketball
court, table tennis, a pool especially for my age group and at night there was
an under 18's disco that went on till midnight - every night! Teenagers are
made to feel welcome in any part of the ship so you can feel free to join in
with anything you want!
The dinning service was great the choice was great and if
your a fussy eater like me you can tell the waiter exactly what you want.
The buffet food wasn't that good and there wasn't that much of a selection
so I tended to go into the restaurant.
We had an inside superior cabin for 2 weeks which by the second week
we started to regret a bit because in a morning you couldn't tell what time
it was! But there was a lot of room and the cabin steward kept it spotless!
We (apparently) were directly above the propellers but the noise didn't wake
me up and usually the slightest sound does that!
The shows were FANTASTIC! We went to everyone! They had guest
cabarets on (people i'd never heard of) like The Krankies and Billie Flint.
But I thought they were brilliant!
We did the main coasts of europe and the islands and africa
itinerarys. The ports were great but the tours were very expensive!!! The
facilities on board are second to none and there is always something to do!
Very Nice and yes we have, there coming over at Christmas!!!
