YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Yes, the food and ship are below average, but the food is edible, there is plenty of it, and the ship gives you seven days of warm sun in great ports. The staff for the most part is hardworking, and the entertainers are very talented and friendly. We are from the US, are upper middle class, and could afford more if we had to, but these tours with airfare(and the exchange rate)are an incredible value. We have taken the new, beautiful and expensive ships and they are very luxurious. I do not understand, however, why reviewers even try to compare these ships to them. I'ts an unfair comparison. We are going to take the Panama Canal itinerary next month on this ship. We know we're not going to be pampered, but who cares? I'm going for the water, sun and destinations. I can be pampered in a spa and go to 5 star restaurant right here at home. Please stop trashing these ships. They are a great value. I encourage people to take advantage of these well-kept secrets.
All of these areas are small but adequate.
Food and service are fair. The wait staff is about the caliber of those you would find at a Denny's or your local greasy-spoon. If you're prepared for this you'll be OK.
Inside cabins are small, but not that much smaller than other ships. They are all small. You don't go on a cruise to spend time in the cabin, however.
Entertainment/Cruise staff was talented, hard working and friendly.
Plenty to do on and off ship. Great ports. Pool and Health club are small, but get the job done.
Didn't mingle much, because we went with a group of 27, but who cares? I don't live anywhere near them, won't be inviting them over and will never see them again. I am going on vacation to spend some serious time with my kids.
