Itinerary: Mediterranean
First class experience. It was a great way of meeting people and was very relaxing cruising on the Mediterranean, partaking of the odd cocktail or two enroute!
Very comfortable with plenty of room. My favourite area was the poolside, handy for pool, dining and reduced price cocktails. My wife and I met another couple at breakfast there and spent most of the cruise there sunning ourselves in between meals.
Food was superb. Plenty of food. I had a lot of meals at poolside area. Carvery was great. Meals in restaurant were very appetising. Midnight buffets were unbelievable, with ice sculptures, etc. I have never experienced service like my wife and I were given on the Sundream, from the start of cruise to the finish. Staff could not do enough for you.
Cabins basic and adequate. Hardly spent any time there. I found shower and wardrobe space adequate. Cabin boy was first class.
First class. Some good quality singers and comedians. I also attended some lectures on the boat, which were very informative. Staff kept you fully informed re shows, etc.
Plenty to do. Not enough time in Rome, bearing in mind it was over a 1 hour bus journey to get there from the port. Same goes from Gibraltar, only spent just over 3 hours there. Would have preferred an over night stop in Rome, for example with 1 less port on the itinery.
All ages, all walks of life. Bulk of age group would be between 40-60 years of age. But plenty of younger people with families as well. Easy to mix and meet new friends on cruise.
