The pampering of cruising is wonderful and I certainly would recommend this as a holiday option.
The public areas were very run down and always very full. If you wanted to eat at the buffet with a seat you had to arrive at least 30 minutes before it began. The lounges were very overcrowded and almost impossible to get a seat you could walk around the decks if you didn`t mind the smell of cellulose paint and avoided the roped off areas.
There was only one dining room and you had to sit with people whom you had to like the food was very good on the whole but if you liked something plain forget it. The buffet on deck at lunchtime had a good variety but was usually cold
The cabin was small even though we paid a fortune to upgrade it certainly wasn`t big enough for three adults and the pull down bed was a joke an adult had to scramble up to it and leap off it. the closet space was a joke too nearly all our clothes had to be piled on the floor. The noise from the engine kept us awake all night every night
The entertainment on this cruise was very poor compared to the previous one I think they must have been on a very tight budget
What activities? table tennis (one) on the top deck in the wind and to be shared by over 1000 people and also a minute crazy golf also on the top deck in the wind There was nothing to do while cruising for 2 days
Most of the passengers were elderly but lovely people there were a few younger ones but please let me say this; NEVER go on a cruise with this company from Southampton it is a farce we queued for two and a half hours in the rain to check in not a very nice start to the holiday we never ate from 10am when we left home until 9pm that night no food available at all
