I don't consider the Norwegian Coastal Voyage a cruise. It is a
working ship and a perfect example of what a ship should look like and
operate. She is a magnificent little ship and the country from the sea is
beautiful. A remarkable voyage with remarkable folk -the Norwegians.
Thank heavens there were no promenades, pools, casinos or
entertainment of any kind - just nice folk and magnificent scenery.
Extremely comfortable areas.
Absolutely astounding food of very high quality.
Shared shower with others in the corridor. Room was single, tiny,
cosy, immaculate and more than adequate.
None of that stuff, Just friendly chats with others - no
music or bands or staff intrusions when not wanted.
Thirty five ports North, thirty five going south. Lots of
walks, organised trips were available, up to four hours at some ports. No
child care or babysitting.
Yes - but all were European.
