Itinerary: Bahamas
Dolphin IV far exceeded what I expected for their ticket
price. The food and service was better than I've had in
the Waldorf! The entertainment was super! The cabins are
cozy and pleasant. This is a great first cruise or an
added attraction when in the Orlando area. The Dolphin IV
was fun and casual, not stuffy like other cruises!
Everything on the Dolphin IV is "human sized". From the
cabins to the casino, everything is cozy, friendly and on
a human scale. Everything easy to find. There is always a delicious buffet somewhere on board. The walk around the classic styled promenades, bow, and stern is most scenic. It
is a romantic ship that is also a lot of fun.
Food is the Barbizon dining room is superb! The buffets
at the pool area are delicious. Be sure to order the
escargot! They are delicious!
Cabins are not large, but they are comfortable and well appointed. I am over 6 foot tall and found the bath area
and cabin most comfortable. There was plenty of closet
space for my suits and luggage.
Cruise staff and entertainment was great. The comedian
was hilarious! Be sure to get an appointment for a
massage and hair style. They have talented people in their
spa.
The tours available of the Grand Bahama Island were very good. The pool on board the Dolphin IV was well maintained,
but a little small.
My best friend who went along on the trip met his wife
aboard the Dolphin IV. The guests are young to middle
aged mostly and friendly. The Maitre'd does a great job
matching up table mates.
