Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
There is always something to do. The staff is so friendly, the
food is wonderful and the ship is beautiful. Almost six months later I am still looking back at my pictures and wishing I was back on the Century!
Every room had very comfortable seats. My friends and I loved
the Hemisphere Lounge (if you like to dance) and I personally liked the
islands cafe, it was bright, colorful and always full of waiters to help
carry your trays! The pool was Ok, I'm not a big fan of saltwater but we did play pool volleyball against the entertainment staff and it was a blast! The casino was very nice to look at, but I am not a gambler!
The food was excellent!! I ate a ton and enjoyed every bite! Our waiter was the best! We had a table full of 7 girls constantly
asking what was good and changing our minds and he put up with it very well! We could not have asked for a more kind, friendly waiter always eager to pronounce everything twice...he had a wonderful accent!
Our cabin was small but fitting four girls (along with EVERYTHING
from home) was still comfortable. Definitely enough closet space even with all the formal and dressy outfits. We are all small girls and fit into the shower, I imagine it may be a little more difficult for a larger person. Our room was noisy because we were in the last room, bottom floor right above the rudders. It is a noise that you can get used to though.
We attended one show, it was very good. The entertainment staff on the decks were awesome. We got to know all of their names and talk
to several. They were always happy and were willing to help out in any way! The hemisphere lounge was the greatest...where else can you dance till 3 am, go back to your room, sleep, get up at 7 am and not be tired! There were different themes every night and you have to be 18 or older to get in. It was wonderful!
Dancing and Eating mainly...we also sang Karoke went to port
lectures, played organized games in the pool, and different talks about
fruit carvings, etc. We stopped at San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Nassau the Bahamas. All were nice but my personal favorite was St.Thomas. There was plenty of shopping and I highly recommend the Kon Tiki party raft, it was a blast!!
Since it was Spring Break there were a lot of teenagers (all with
chaperones!) and families with small children. Other than that there were all kinds of people; large groups, small groups, honeymooners, foreigners and couples.
