This was our first cruise and a wonderful experience. The
Celebrity Galaxy is a beautiful ship and the crew keep it absolutely
immaculate. The only trouble now is that every cruise we take from now on has to come up to this very high standard!!.
Ample space for everyone. On our one day at sea I was on a
section of upper forward deck and I counted 115 deckchairs. I was the only person in taht area and I could not sees a single person from there. All other public areas were well appointed and very comfortable.
First class food and service in the Dining Room. There was
one main buffet but the pool deck also had food (burgers, pizza etc.)
The cabin was quite spacious and had more than enough closet space.
The shower had ample room for one person.....two was cozy.
Excellent shows and entertainers.
Our first stop was a private island stop off Dominican Republic.
This was wonderful and followed by one day at sea and stops at Barbados,
Martinique, Antigua and St. Thomas. Pools and health club facilities were excellent.
We had 4 other passengers at our dinner table. A younger couple
from Pittsburgh and a same age couple (50ish) from Chicago. We hit it off well with both couples and the Chicago couple invited us to join then for another vacation in Florida. We met some really nice people from Atlanta on the open-seating first dinner.
