Entire staff seemed to us passengers to really love what they are
doing! unlike others we have previously traveled. Dennis, our cruise
director has been in the business for years. He is excellent! Great singer,
dancer (INSTRUCTED DAILY LESSONS) and comedian. He was EVERYWHERE, always
entertaining the crowds. Obviously the person writing travelpage.coms review
has a problem with this vendor in general and it should be re-reviewed. We
had MANY memories that will be remembered for a lifetime.
The ship being german built is very solid. No panels rubbing
or squeaking. I liked the pool area, the turquoise mosaic tiles accenting the
pumpkin curved walls of the risen hot tub walls. Pool and cabin faucet was
all MOEN brand. Most of the ships art was, as critics would say, VERY
MODERN. In fact one looked just like a student project I had finished just
prior to my journey! Wished I could have sold it for more than it was worth!
Waiter, Nelson best in the business, He has been with
Celebrity 10 YEARS! He performed magic tricks and entertained our table after
dinner each night. We could tell the others looked up to him.
GREAT, simple, tastefully tailored clean room. We received fresh ice
and water 2 x's a day. the shower was the size of two persons standing. Our
room had a panoramic window category 5.
Broadway style was better than Royal Caribbean's. we also saw
pianist Jack Friedman, a husband wife magic act, a four time star search
winner comedian. The 6 of us thought he was humorous but his jokes were
predictable man vs. woman stuff and that gets old after 15 minutes. The best
act I have seen on a ship was from an asian juggler entertainer. He was
hilarious and extremely talented!
We took a 2 week eastbound panama canal journey. Ports visited
were Cabo and Acapulco (HATE MEXICO) Costa Rica Shore excursions are a must
due to ships docking area and beauty of the country not to be missed. We
rode horseback and river rafted. Lots of wildlife to be found. Cartagena,
Colombia. Style similar to Puerto Rico only not up to their par. and last
but not least Aruba, Great for shopping and we snorkeled on our own at an
island call De palm Island take a taxi from ships terminal to ferry for $30
roundtrip and ferry a short distance for $8 including a drink ticket for
you to use at any time on your choice of bev. Great snorkeling I must say!
Gear is $10 each and you must take or buy a bag of bread to toss out at the
fish. they will love you.
Varied group, but lots of fun.
