Itinerary: Mediterranean
The cruise started in Venice and ended in Barcelona after 12 days, after having visited Dubrovnik, Santorini, Athens, Naples (Capri and Pompei), Civitavecchia (Rome), Livorno (Florence and Pisa) and Villefranche (Nice and Monte Carlo). An excellent selection of interesting places, from the intimate Santorini to the cultural Venice and Florence.
The public areas were all very well set up. The pool could of course have been larger, but after all you are on a boat. The movie theater was very much appreciated by our kids .
Exellent food - both with regard to quality and quantity. The Ocean Cafe was our favourite - not because of the food, but it was the best place on the ship - calm with a marvellous view.
Our cabin on the Sky deck was a litle bit too small for four people. We had to store a couple of suitcases under the bed and on the terrace which by the way was very convenient.
The shows were very nice - especially the magican.
We did not take any excursions provided by the ship - too exoensive for 4 people. However, being Europeans we are used to travel on our own and speak the necessary languages.
Mostly Americans with more money than us. Our house is therefore probably not nice enough for inviting them.
