Itinerary: Caribbean - Southern

Overview
The cruise experience on board the Summit was better than anticipated as we normally prefer the smaller more intimate and casual luxury vessels ie: Windstar, Radisson, etc.

Public Areas
Overall the Public areas were attractive in their decor. Enjoyed the walking track as it was uncrowded as were all the upper decks away from the pool areas. The lounges were comfortable.

Food and Service
Found the food to be very good. It was tasty and served warm to the table even in the large dining room. Excellent service from the waiters, etc. After a few dinners they would anticipate your requests and give very good service.

Cabins
Enjoyed the amenities provided in the Sky Suite. It was very roomy and comfortable with a nice size balcony. The cabin steward and butler were always right there when any requests were made.

Entertainment
Attended most of the shows and enjoyed all of the entertainment with the exception of the comic on board. The caribbean band Onyx were great and entertained on deck as well as in the lounges. Great musicians and music.

Activities
A very nice spa and gym aboard with lots of equipment which was readily available throughout the day. On the various port stops in St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Thomas and St. Nevis we hired taxi drivers to take us around sightseeing. A much nicer way to see the islands than taking tours from the ship and very reasonably priced. One trip really worth doing is a helicopter ride on St. Lucia (St. Lucia Helicopters) Wasn't offered by the cruise line so with the help of port workers in St. Castries this was arranged for us and well worth the cost.

Who Goes
Overall we found fellow passengers to be pleasant and well behaved. Generally a more mature group.
