Itinerary: Caribbean - Southern
This cruise was a monumental waste of money, an incomplete itinerary, and I came back with a torn Achilles tendon from an accident witnessed by the ship's doctor who did absolutely nothing. Other than that, it was great.
There was nothing special about any of the public areas.
The food was on par with the typical all-you-can-eat buffet or $5.99 steak house. The service was good, if you consider having the waiter constantly offer to bring you something else if you didn't like what you ordered good service.
Typical cabin in size and accommodation. Roomy shower. Quiet unless neighbors were having sex.
I attended 5 shows. 2 were good, one was mediocre, 2 stunk. The cruise director, who fancies himself a stand-up comedian and can dish it out but not take it, was the worst I have ever encountered.
We were supposed to stop at St. Thomas, Martinique, Barbados, and Aruba. Due to a major malfunction the ship stopped for 8 hours en route to Aruba, and that stop was canceled. St. Lucia was substituted, and while on a tour of that island I suffered an accident in which I tore my Achilles tendon right in front of the ship's doctor who ignored me and walked away.
My dinner companions were wonderful people and I truly hope we have a reunion some day.
