We went on the Dutch Treat Itinerary. We enjoyed it immensely, even though we've been everywhere but St. Lucia. In all but St. Thomas, we were the only ship in port. The issue with Destiny is its size (3,000 passengers) and its layout. The people issue only came into play during Embarkation and the Captain's cocktail party.

No public room can be that comfortable with thousands of people milling about. However, without the crowds, the rooms are generally nice. The Palladium show lounge does have many stadium-style seats with an obstructed view. There are railings right at eye-level.

The presentation and quality of the food in the Universe Dining Room was excellent. Our waiter, Luna, was the best we've encountered in 15 cruises. The food on the Lido deck was o.k. with little variation from day to day. No a la carte dining is available.

We had a cat 11 stateroom. It was lovely with marble on the floor, a Jacuzzi, a writing desk, decorative mirror and bar. The bathtub could hold two people. The room was pretty quiet except when people were out on deck screaming.

We went to all the evening shows except the 10:45 show. The individual performs (singers, jugglers and comedians) were excellent. The Las Vegas troupe was o.k. We were very surprised that there was not entertainment every night.The Grand Princess' entertainment was better.

We got off the ship at every port. Most times we went out on our own because we've been there before. On St. Lucia, we did an organized tour. The island is pretty but the tour was not worth the money. There were few kids on this cruise.

Most people were twenty-somethings. We would definitely invite our table mates for dinner. We really enjoyed their company.
