Overview
My husband and I went on the cruise with a wedding party of thirty. We hadn't considered a short cruise before but it turned out to be great get-away vacation.

Public Areas
We liked it all!

Food and Service
The food was sensational! I know somebody who ordered four lobster tails and got them. The food in the dining room was excellent and even the buffet dining was above average. They served pizza around the clock and it was very good pizza. I was a little disappointed in the midnight buffet, but only went one time.

Cabins
We had cabin #43 on E deck and it had plenty of closet space. Our cabin steward kept it clean and my only complaint was that the window was dirty (outside) and the bed was hard. Actually, this is the first ship I've been on that had an uncomfortable bed.

Entertainment
I thought the entertainment was exceptionally good. I especially liked the "Latin Mambo" show. There also was a very good comedian and an entertaining magician/comedian, too. We also attended the Newlywed show and Hairy Chest contest type of shows. All were very entertaining.

Activities
We went ashore in Catalina and did some shopping. We've been there before and find the town charming. We took the Scenic Gold Coast tour in Ensenada and found it to be first-class. The people in our group with kids used the Club Carnival and had wonderful things to say about it. All the kids had a good time.

Who Goes
We sat at a table for ten (we met on board, they weren't with the wedding party) and the other four couples were all great! We'll be keeping in touch with most of them, I'm sure. Most of the passengers were friendly and courteous. I noticed people of all ages, all seemed to be having a good time. I didn't hear much grumbling from anyone.
