Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
This was our first cruise. This ship has issues (not severe) but we did not. My husband and I went on a vacation to enjoy each other and not worry about every little thing that could go wrong. If you are a person that can have fun then this is the place for you. If you are a person that critiques every little thing then stay home, you won't enjoy this.
The weather was not great for swimming but the other cruisers were generally friendly and we has several wonderful conversations w/several people. The public areas were clean and service at worst was average but many were very willing to help w/whatever we needed.
The food at the buffet was very good. The evening dining was excellent if you are used to that sort of cuisine. If Denny's is usual for you then you won't like this.
The cabin was very nice. The cabin steward persistently attended our needs. The shower size is appropriate for a full sized person. The toilet may have been a little difficult as it was close to the wall.
We listen to quite a bit of music, country and western mostly. We did watch some karioke which was fun. Entertainers were funny and very entertaining.
My husband and I did a jeep adventure that later took us to an island for an afternoon at the beach w/a buffet. There was a massage hut there at much cheaper prices than on board ship. My husband got a 1/2 hour massage for $35. If we has know this we wouldn't have made reservations on board.
Everyone that we dined w/were very friendly. How others are perceived really depends allot on you. Are you friendly, then you will make friends.
