An excellent cruise. Friendly, hardworking crew, outstanding food, ship has pleasant layout easy to find your way around. Plenty of uniformed security around which gives to the felling any problems with unruly people will be handled quickly, maybe this is the reason there were no unruly adults or kids on any of our Carnival cruises.
All public areas are very comfortable. Was pleasantly surprised to find the seating in the lounges were very comfortable since both my wife and myself are large people. Plenty of space to walk around outside, funnel deck is tops optional, usually not very crowded.
Quality of the food both in the resturants and on the Lido deck was outstanding!!! This made up for the crew struggling to get used to their new system of 2 waiters and 1 busboy. Not a big problem but you notice the difference if you have been on other cruises.
Cabins were spacious, although the furnishings in our cabin were really banged up. Shower is very large for ships. Our cabin was under the Dynasty lounge and you could hear the noise. Won't do that again.
Entertainment was very good. Cruise director, Haste, was very personable.
All the usual activities on board. Camp Carnival seemed like they were doing a good job keeping the kids happy. There is an internet cafe, but at $.75 a minute not many people were using it.
Our cruise was full to capacity and there seemed like all big groups of families. Because of this there seemed to not be much mingling of the passengers everybody was busy visiting and doing things with their families. A few babies and a few elderly people. Lots of kids (all well behaved). Would probably invite them over for dinner but did not get to know anybody this cruise.
