Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
Engine vibration was excessive and annoying. Ship decor is showing its age. Lido deck dining was fair, but the decor and view from there was depressing.
Smoke, smoke, smoke. The smell pervaded everything and everywhere. Pool slide was out of service.
Food on the Lido deck was alright and the food in the dining room was good and abundant. In the Bordeaux Dining Room, late seating, we had a great waiter. His name was Michael Koiambunan from Indonesia. Went the extra mile to satisfy and entertain our table.. (Table #202 April 28-May 2)
Room was adequate. Shower was roomy Storage space was adequate. Good space in the room. TV offering left a lot to be desired. Broken reception and the same movies continuously on three channels for the whole trip.
Cruise staff was very responsive. Cruise director was informative and entertaining. Times of the Atlantis shows were not coordinated very well with formal dinner times. Often missed shows because there was nothing to do between dinner and the show.
Stops at Calica, Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel were fun. Access to port facilities was good. The excursions were varied .
Met several couples at dinner and we became fast friends. Most people were just "regular folks". Band "Music Forever" was not very good. Instrumentally OK, but the vocals were pretty bad.
