The Carnival Legend was a great cruise. Everyone was polite and always there to help. The activities they provided on board were fun and creative. It has definitely been the best cruise I've ever been on.
The public areas were very spacious and comfortable. The colors in the public area were vibrant and enjoyable. The casino wasn't too loud but always full of happy gamblers. As for the pools, everyone seemed to enjoy them. That area was always full of people laying out in the sun and reading books. The spa was definitely amazing. They pamper you like no other. The gym was also a great place to be.
Personally, I like the food in the Unicorn Cafe better than the gourmet food in Truffles Restaurant. I'm not one for gourmet food, however, I highly enjoyed the service in Truffles. The waiters were kind and always on their feet. The food was excellent, if you like the gourmet. In the Unicorn Cafe, they had a 24hr pizzeria that really does have the best pizza. I'm usually not one for pizza, but I lived off this stuff! It was great. Their lunches in the Unicorn Cafe were awesome, fries and all.
I had a cabin with a balcony and I could not have asked for a better room. There was enough room for a friend and I to live there for a month (which we did). There was more than enough closet space for the two of us (amazingly.. you know how females pack!). The bathroom was also more than enough room for us. The shower was ALSO more than enough room for me. I feel as though I should mention the water pressure, too. I never had a problem with it on this cruise.
I can't even begin to tell you in words how amazing the cruise staff was. Everyone would greet you with a smile and ALWAYS willing to help you if you had any questions. Very personable people working there and I enjoyed that immensely. The cruise staff made light of any tough situation and were continuously funny. I attended all the shows on board and I must say, they are the best yet. I sat front row for all of them and I was always in awe.
While on board, you cant miss the hula hoop contest and the hairy mans chest contest. If you have the sense of humor to bare it, that is. Other activities included Karaoke (never missed a night) and "In The Bag" which was sort of like a treasure hunt. You bring a bag of stuff from your cabin (everyday items) to Follies and get put into groups.. then the fun begins! Babysitting was available everyday, just about anytime. During the day and evenings. Camp Carnival on the Legend seemed to be a lot of fun. The kids on the ship seemed to be enjoying it when I saw them. We stopped in several countries including..Denmark, Germany, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Holland, England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Newfoundland, and then got off in New York.
On the 12 day part of the cruise there were more people my age (18+). Definitely more of a younger crowd. Where as on the 15 day it was mostly 45+, which was okay. Overall everyone was enjoyable though. I made some great friends on both the 12 day and the 15 day. My fellow passengers and I would sing karaoke together and talk. I made some great friends on there.
