Carnival Cruise Line

MS Carnival Pride

Your Rating:Three Stars

Itinerary: Bermuda

Overview
The ship is beautiful, the balcony rooms are spacious and well appointed, the food above average but the food service is horrible, below horrible. If this ship had the dinning room food service up to an acceptable level the cruise would have been a 5 star rating by me.

Public Areas
Beautiful ! The lounges are well decorated and designed. The bar service was excellent the casino was outstanding. No problem with smoke as others have reported and never a space problem. The art was tasteful I was not offended at all.

Food and Service
Wow, as I said if they had dinning room food service and room service working to some type of standard I would never seek another ship to cruise on.

Examples of service problems: Table 291 early seating: We never were served a meal in unison. Someone was always forgotten, waiting for service or left out. Wait times were incredible beyond belief. I do not hold my servers responsible either it is the cruise line that is at fault. We had only 3 waiters working 6 tables. The service was beyond horrible. Room service was another unbelievable experience, 1 hour + wait times for anything to be delivered it got to the point where it became too frustrating to even consider these using services. The food quality was above average when you finally received it I can't complain about the chef's and preparation everything was tasty and well prepared. Never had a bad meal just horrible experiences trying to get a meal. I spoke to other people on the cruise as well same experiences all over the ship, so it was not just my group.

Cabins
Cabin was beautiful, we had a verandah deck extended balcony and traveled with our 6 year old daughter. Spacious cabin plenty of room and storage space. The cabin steward was great here is where service excelled unfortunately they didn't work the dinning rooms.

Entertainment
Very good the entertainment was fun and well produced.

Activities
Anther minor issue is the Carnival floor plans published in the brochures do not always match the actual ship floor plan. Example, no the slide does not end in the pool, the interior cabins on the verandah deck are on the opposite side of the ship as opposed to the brochure.

Who Goes
Who goes on this ship there were all types. Professionals, non-professionals you name it. Which at times was a good thing to meet different people.
