The Pride is a BIG ship with many types of entertainment. The biggest downfall is if you have young children. The decor is from the Renaissance period and does not fit in with young children. There are paintings and statues of nudes all over the place. Some with mothers breast feeding. I had no problem with the decor but I heard many people complaining.
The public areas were fine as long as you stayed away from any of the public bathrooms. And I don't just mean using them, they have an odor that was present a good 30' away. The casino was very good. The 3 pools were a joke. The pools were the smallest I have seen on a ship yet. And the flooring around the pools was a danger. We saw at least 3 children and 1 adult slip and fall.
There was only one dining room and it was large and at the back of the ship. But even so the food was good and the dining room staff was very attentive. The lido deck (9) was home to the pools and the buffet area. The buffets were good, plentiful and a wide variety.
We had a cabin on the 7th deck ( veranda) it was clean, large enough for 2 adults and had a nice balcony. The bathroom was big enough for 1 person to shower and the other to use the sink. The shower was a good size with shower gel and shampoo provided in dispensers for you.
We went to all the shows in the Taj Mahal lounge. The ships entertainers were good. As far as some of the people they hired like the second comedy act he should have been thrown overboard. The cruise staff was helpful and entertaining.
Our first stop was Key West. Tourist trap.
Our second stop was Belize. Snorkeling excellent. Shopping scary.
Third was Cozumel. The BEST. catamaran snorkeling out of this world. Shopping fun, better if spanish spoken.
Fourth was Progresso. Mayan ruins something to see. Town not bad but a culture shock.
The passengers were from every part of the states. Most were fine. Just like every resort you get some ***holes but that is to be expected.
