Overview
The Carnival Spirit was a very large ship. This was my first cruise and it was everything I expected it would be.

Public Areas
The only place I thought was a waste was the jungle area. They could have used that space for something else. There was a lot of seating on this ship. The pools were nice but I thought they would be bigger. The casino was nice but the odds were bad but some people did win. The ship is very long and the whole time the ship was rocky. When you were in bed you could feel the ship really moving and when you were walking.

Food and Service
The food of course was good and there were many things to try. Pizza 24/7 and ice cream! Dinner in the was good, if you wanted 5 lobster, you got 5! Whatever you wanted and as much as you wanted. Good time to try things you wouldn't spend money if you were to pay for it.

Cabins
My cabin was up graded a couple times. We ended up with a balcony which was great! There were 3 closets and little placed to put things.Yes a full size person could fit in the shower. For the ladies its best to shave you legs out of the shower. The ship moves around to much to do in the shower.

Entertainment
We saw one show and to comedy shows. They were vegas type shows and the older people seemed to like them. The staff was great and we had our fav. people on the ship.

Activities
You could do nothing on the ship or have something to do every hour of the day, its up to you. I did not care for St. Maarteen but then again its best to take a tour if your at port! That is what I learned book those tours so you have something planned and not play it by ear.

Who Goes
We meet a lot of nice people. I even got a few email address and snail mail address too. We sat at 3 tables and meet some nice people. We had a group of 13 but my cousin and I moved around and ended up sitting alone the last 4 days, just needed a break. The passengers were from all around the world, good people watching.
