They do not call it the Victory for nothing.. This ship is a Victory for Carnival. I have been on three other Carnival ships (Carnivale, Mardi Gras,and the Celebration). These are really no comparison.
The Caribbean (main show) Lounge was beautiful and very comfortable. Lots of deck space. Never felt crowded in any part of the ship. The pools and surrounding areas were well set up. The casino was the best part. The dealers were extremely friendly.
The food and service was first rate. Our waiters and cabin steward were excellent.
We had an outside category 8 with a balcony. It was very comfortable. I like the added couch/sitting room...Shower size is tight but this IS a cruise ship. Only thing to complain was that our room was be-bopping due to we were directly over the disco.
We attended both of the shows. The singers and dancers were fantastic.
On board, there are several things to do.. The big one is eating.. The shops are good, the casino is great, and the spa is phenomenal. We went to San Juan (did not care for it), St Croix has nice scenery, but St. Thomas is the ultimate.
I have been on previous Carnival cruises. I must say that the crowd was definitely younger than I expected.. A lot of kids. I met a few people from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even my home town of Coral Springs, FL... I would invite them for dinner anytime...
