Comfortable, well designed ship. Easy to get around. Friendly crew and staff if your comfortable with foreign languages. Classy European atmosphere and attitude. Not gaudy like Carnival.

The indoor pool was the highlight of the public areas. Deck chairs were plentiful (there were only 2 open cabins on the ship). Lounges were well staffed and comfortable.

Dinner in the dinning room was the best available on the ship, nouveau italian. Dinning room was formal and comfortable, but a bit noisy. Buffets offered plenty of food, but not thrilling.

Cabin was small 150 sq ft. But surprisingly efficient. Good size porthole and a good steward helped with the environment of the cabin. The bathroom with European styling was great, although a larger size person would have difficulty in the shower.

Shows were interesting, Las Vegas like, but varied.

Didn't participate in many of the on board activities, but the shore excursions offered a variety of tours and activities, such as snorkeling, bus tours, beach excursions.

When we first boarded it looked like it might be a "geriatric" cruise, but as each age group found their niche we were surrounded by passengers of our own age (I'm 31). Many of the passengers were from Italy which created a non-puritan environment that we are so used to in Connecticut.

Not only would we invite the people we met over for dinner, but have some visits planned with some of them in Rome, Rochester, NY and D.C.
