Itinerary: Bermuda
If you ever want to know what it's like live a royal life, please try QE2. I cannot speak highly enough of my voyage to Bermuda. Will I ever live like that again? why did I get off the ship at the end?
The swimming pool in the back of the ship is wonderful, plenty of deck space for relaxing. It's too bad the new "Condo" boats don't have that the pool in the back of the ship. The public rooms very beautiful, rich fabrics, wood details, wool carpets- very nice. The lighting throughout the ship was updated- very sophisticated. The Chart Room lounge was my favorite.
Dinner was beautiful. The Mauretania restaurant was stunning. Completely professional, down to earth, and genuinely friendly staff. Presentation was perfect.
Our cabin was on Two Deck. I guess on any cruise, try to get the highest level deck you can. The air just feels better- lower decks felt stuffy. Cabin was very suitable, and comfortable, always perfect when I went back to change for lunch. I was happy I was on a ship- not a Condo boat.
Very nice captains party in the Queens Room. If Elizabeth, and Philip walked in, no one would have flinched. There was a great tour of the ship, which included Cunard's glorious nautical history. Beautiful Grand, (Not baby grand) Piano's in many entertainment rooms of the ship.
I rested, and relaxed in beautiful teak deck chairs on the promenade deck. Went snorkeling in Bermuda- there was plenty to do. every morning there was an itinerary delivered. Our Cruise was a "Jazz festival at Sea." great music.
The other passengers were a mature group, a few younger, like me, I saw a few kids. very nice people.
