Itinerary: Transatlantic
The Queen Elizabeth 2 is a fine ship. The only problem was that there were too many stairs and not enough elevators. That's just because the ship is old and once had classes. The elevators didn't got to all decks. Other than that it was very good.
The chairs in the Theater were very comfortable. I didn't have a favorite public area. The Crystal Bar was nice, so was the Chart Room Bar. There was a walk-around promenade, but it was too windy half the time to go out anyway.
EXCELLENT. Great food. Our waiter and waitress were the nicest people I ever met. The was a buffet in the Lido for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were only allowed to eat in one dining room. That was picked by the amount and category of the cabin you got. I ate in the Caronia Restaurant.
Small but big enough. It had three closets and a dresser. A full size person could fit in the shower. It was very quiet although if somebody yelled, you could hear it through the walls.
I didn't go to any shows.
It was a transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York. The were two pools. An indoor one and an outdoor one. There was a children's' program and babysitting was available.
Nice. Many were part of the older crowd. Yes i would invite them over for dinner.
