Overall, the cruise was okay - it would have been better had we not had a mishap with the Oceaneer's Club allowing our 3 1/2 year old son to walk out of the supposedly "Secured Environment" that we were assured that he was in - only to find him wandering around the ship alone two decks below. When we went upstairs with him to find out what happened, they could not give us a valid reason. It was very apparent they didn't even know he was gone! I have written a letter and made several phone calls since our return - and much to my dismay have heard nothing from anyone. It's very disturbing to me that after investing a large sum of money to take our family on this cruise, the "family-oriented" company obviously doesn't think my son's safety warranted even an apology or reassurance that they would re-evaluate their safety measures to ensure this would not happen to another family. If we took another Disney cruise, I would not leave ANY of my children in their care.
All of the amenities were good!
The food and wait staff were excellent and very entertaining - our favorite was the Animator's Palate. I liked the fact that you kept the same staff each night. They were very accommodating to our three children's requests.
We had two cabins and they were both nice - good amount of closet space, the shower was large enough for my husband who is 6'3" giving him plenty of room, and for the most part it was quiet.
Yes, we attended two shows - both were done very professionally. The entertainers were talented.
We went to the Atlantis Aquarium which was very neat. My children thoroughly enjoyed it. The pools were fun- the water was still a little cold for me but then again we went in March. It didn't stop the kids - they had a blast!
We actually only saw our dining partners one night - they changed their seating for the earlier seating for their children.
