Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
Reaching the ship was wonderfully organised and totally painless; once on board the service was excellent; we were always kept very well informed about what was going on and where we were going; the atmosphere was very convivial and this was all I would look for in a cruise.
All the ship was well presented and maintained and I did my couple of miles round the promenade every day. Pool was excellent. I didn't use the casino
All eating areas were very well catered for with all types of food presented, formal, informal, bbq and so on. I preferred the formal dining room - the Thistle restaurant.
Cabin (suite) was excellent. Very roomy and well maintained. I am quite a large man and I fitted into both the shower and the bed very easily.
Everyone on the entertainment side was very professional, the cruise director, John butt, was excellent and ran a very good cruise.
The only misgiving I have about this is the same misgiving I have about cruising in general, one doesn't get enough time in most ports of call. We stopped at Tobago, Curacao, Port Antonio, Jamaica, Santiago de Cuba, Santo Domigo in the Dom. Rep., St John's Antigua, St Lucia and Mewreau in the Grenadines. Both the pool and the health club were very well attended and seemed to cater for everyone's needs. Child care and baby sitting weren't applicable in my case
Very convivial and we have already invited people over for dinner.
