Itinerary: Caribbean - Western
The food on the Maasdam was great as was the service by Chandra, Dono and Rizwan our food stewards. Cozmel snorkeling was so-so. Shopping there was great. Ocho Rios stinks. The only good part was our tour guide victor. When you leave Dunns River Falls you are grabbed by the natives trying to sell you stuff. Grand Cayman and Stingray island was something I never will forget.
The lounges were ok. The pool area was really nice but a little more attention of the kids is needed as well as later hours on the pool for people who do not drink or gamble.
Chandra, Dono and Rizwan made our dinning a pleasure. These three went way out of their way to make my son Dustin happy. They became good friends. My son would like to get an address where he can write to them.
Cabin was nice but small. Very dry air and the air conditioner did not work until the second day at sea. This was a pain.
The shows were ok nothing great
Anna a Philippine who worked at the desk babysat our child. She was super. Nice to talk to. Andrea Clark who was in charge of the kids activities did a great job but I think HAL could have sprung for some neat things for the kids.
Sure. Steve the security officer did a super job and was really neat to talk to and eager ot help everyone.
